Frequently asked questions

Can I trust that Emmy is telling me the truth?

Emmy is not always connected to the internet, and it can occasionally produce incorrect answers. It has limited knowledge of world and events after 2023 and may also occasionally produce harmful instructions or biased content.

We’d recommend always checking whether responses from the AI are accurate or not.

We don’t use content from our paid subscribers to train AI models. However, as part of our commitment to safe and responsible AI, we may review conversations to improve our systems and to ensure the content complies with our policies and safety requirements.

To manage your subscription, hover on your account avatar and simply click ‘Plan’ in the top-right corner. You’ll then be prompted to select a plan and enter your card details.

If you need to change these details after subscribing, click your name in the top-right then select Plan > Manage my subscription.

We accept payment via credit card or debit card. We do not support alternate payment options. Pre-paid cards / gift cards are not supported.

If you are experiencing billing issues such as an unexpected charge, difficulty upgrading or downgrading plans or have questions about your Jersey AI Labs invoice, please send us a message via Support link in your dashboard. 

If you’re reporting a duplicate charge, details about the card used including zip code, last 4 digits, and the dates of the charges.

If you’re looking to cancel or manage your Ask Emmy account, follow these steps:

  • Login to your Ask Emmy account and click on ‘Plan’ in the top bar by hovering on your account avatar icon.
  • In the next window, click on ‘Manage my subscription.’
  • You’ll be directed to your billing page where you can select ‘Cancel Plan’ or select other plans, e.g. Free Plan.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues and provide you with the best possible service.

Important Notes:

  • Your cancellation becomes effective the day after your next billing date, allowing you to use the services until then.
  • To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel at least 48 hours before your next billing date.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable.

If you’re not able to access your Ask Emmy account and you need help cancelling your subscription, please reach out via email at support@askemmy.ai.

If we terminate your account for violating our Terms of Use, you still owe any unpaid fees, and will not be given a refund for any remaining credit or prepaid service.
